23 Oct Angela Hua, MD: A 2025 Unsung Hero

Dr. Angela Hua and a passionate and dedicated physician in the Emergency Department. While not only caring for a diverse population with various medical and social needs, but she also furthers her commitment to their improvement in care by running the Complex Care Committee for the hospital. Here she has interdisciplinary representation from various specialties to discuss the multitude of challenges and needs of many of the complex patients and come up with ways and resources to utilize to ensure their care is consistent. She also focuses her time to help review cases for performance improvement to ensure that the care provided is held to the standard of care and offer ways in which such care can be optimized.

Dr. Hua goes out of her way to take up the challenge of discussing the complex patients and finding ways to optimize their care so it is consistent up repeat visits.

Dr. Angela Hua did her residency in Emergency Medicine at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York.
After completion of her residency, she has worked as an attending physician in Emergency Medicine ant Long Island Jewish Medical Center where she has been for the past 9 years.
