22 Oct Annette Visconti, MD FACEP: A 2025 Unsung Hero

Dr. Visconti has been a stalwart of the Emergency Medicine Residency at NYP-Brooklyn Methodist. She has been a faculty member for almost two decades and has served in Residency leadership for more than 15 years as an Assistant and now Associate Program Director. Her passionate and engaged teaching style is present on every clinical teaching shift that she works. As a member of FACEP, Dr. Visconti has completed the ACEP Teaching Fellowship and has become certified as an expert in coaching adult professionals. She has used these experiences to guide every member of graduating residency classes at NYP Brooklyn Methodist. Whether it is preparing CV’s, reviewing contracts with senior residents, or just checking in with trainees to manage the stresses of emergency medicine training, Dr. Visconti has been an integral asset to the residency program and true hero to so many.
Being an Assistant/Associate PD for over 15 is the definition pfan unsung hero.. Her unwavering support and stable presence has maintained the wellness of countless EM residents throughout the years.
Recipient Bio:
Dr. Visconti graduated from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completed her residency in emergency medicine at Mt. Sinai, where she served as Chief Resident. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Visconti is actively involved in weekly conferences and in developing the resident education curriculum. She also serves as the PGY-3 Class Director. Her extracurricular interests include reading, American history, fiction writing, science fiction, bird watching, swimming, and biking.
