David Gibbs, MD: A 2025 Unsung Hero

Dr. David Gibbs is a true asset to the Rochester Regional Health Emergency Medicine Team.  He rotates at several of our sites but has been a welcome addition to Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic, now rotating for several years. He has always been a contributor from the clinical perspective and is a pleasure to work alongside. His excellent and efficient care delivery have made him a real asset to the team.

His medical knowledge is exceptional, and he keeps current on the most current medical literature, often helping to keep his peers current.  The excellent knowledge base, along with procedural skills at the same level, make him a real resource to our rural emergency department in Clifton Springs.  While he is an extremely capable physician from a technical perspective, he also does a great job explaining his thought process to patients, families, and the nursing team to ensure all members of the care team are on the same page.

Recipient Bio:
Dr. Gibbs joined Rochester Regional Health in 2018 after completion of Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He attended medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University.   His wife Emily is also an emergency medicine physician in the RRH system, and their family lives locally with their two small children.  They enjoy travel and adventuring as a family.
