Rikin Shah, DO: A 2025 Unsung Hero

Rikin Shah, DO joined us in 2023 after working on the east coast following residency. He quickly bonded with the team joining them on adventures outside of work- tailgating, wine tours, pub crawls, dinners. At work he is a favorite to be called upon to help the inpatient team and residents with procedures and critical care. In the ED he is an appreciated teammate, works hard with a quiet and positive demeanor. He has great critical care skills and is calm and reassuring in any challenging situation.

We have built a strong team of emergency providers who support each other and work together to serve the needs of our community. Rikin shares those values and is an integral part of our ED and hospital community. He epitomizes professionalism, strength of character and hard work.
Dr Shah would be first in line to help out in a crisis to support his colleagues.

Recipient Bio:
Rikin and his wife Arjana live in WNY with their rescue dog. After completing residency at St Barnabas, he worked in the Long Island area before coming to Batavia, NY. Although a lifetime Eagles fan, he will cheer for the Bills if not a direct conflict. They are making the most of their time exploring WNY as well as travelling the world and spending time with family.
