01 Nov Erica Baker-Adler, MD: A 2024 Unsung Hero
Dr. Baker-Adler has been part of the Montefiore Einstein community for 16 years culminating in her current role as the Assistant Medical Director for the Montefiore Moses Emergency Department. She is the consummate advocate for patients, as well as peers and staff. For the past two years, she has been an integral part of the Emergency Department leadership team, working diligently to improve care, throughput metrics, and well-being and belonging amongst the ED team. She has spearheaded numerous quality and performance improvement projects and also serves on the residency program’s interview and admission committee, striving to find the best physicians for our community.
Dr. Baker-Adler is truly the unsung hero. She has a tireless work ethic and takes exceptional care of her patients. She quietly and meticulously jumps in and takes on additional responsibilities while being motivated by the best interests of her patients and the community. She has taken her role as assistant medical director as an opportunity to improve care at a broader level and advocate strongly for the ED team throughout the department and institution.
Recipient Bio:
Dr. Erica Baker-Adler is the Assistant Medical Director of the Montefiore Moses Division Emergency Department. She graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2012 and completed her Emergency Medicine residency at Jacobi and Montefiore Medical Centers in 2016. She has been on faculty since 2016 and is a member of the residency selection committee. She has been the Assistant Medical Director for the Montefiore Moses Division since 2022.
