Dr. Wodowski is truly an unsung hero in the Emergency Department. She is an exceptional clinician who handles the most complex cases with skill and compassion. She is always focused on improving processes, policies, and efficiency to benefit patients. She actively elevates the morale of those around her and brings a positive mindset to every shift. Her strong relationship with the nursing staff creates a cohesive atmosphere in a busy but small department. She is always willing to help when the ED is busy or cover for a sick colleague.
Dr. Wodowski’s empathy and compassion for the local community is evident in how she approaches every shift and every patient. Her passion for this community and for preserving their access to the highest level of healthcare is recognized by all.
Recipient Bio:
Dr. Wodowski graduated medical school from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed her residency in Emergency Medicine through SUNY at Buffalo’s program. She has worked in large and small emergency departments across America prior to settling back in her native Western New York. In her free time, Dr. Wodowski can be found traveling, spending time with her husband, playing volleyball, and is a talented singer.
