New Speaker Forum

If you are considering professional speaking and would like to gain experience, this forum was designed for you. New York ACEP will showcase members who are dynamic lecturers, but may be new to presenting at the state or regional level.

2025 applications are now open, deadline for submission: March 14, 2025

Speakers must be attending physicians, who are New York ACEP members and have never presented at the state or national level.

The topic for the New Speaker Forum is “Best Practices in Emergency Medicine.” The Forum will be held Tuesday, July 8 from 1:15 pm-2:15 pm at the Sagamore Resort on Lake George. Applicants will be selected to give a 15 minute presentation.

Candidates interested in presenting at New York ACEP’s New Speaker Forum need to submit the following information using the form below by 11:59 pm, March 14, 2025.

  • Lecture title; “Best Practice in Emergency Medicine: ___________”
  • Name, title and affiliation/institution
  • Mailing address, phone and email address
  • History of previous oral presentations
  • Potential conflicts of interest and financial disclosures
  • Lecture material in slide format (Microsoft PowerPoint).

Firm deadline for applications: March 14, 2025.

Presentations will be selected by a blind review process and notification will be provided to all applicants by April 11, 2025. Speakers selected will be responsible for their own expenses.

The best presentation selected by a panel of judges will be offered a lecture presentation and complimentary registration at the 2026 Scientific Assembly.
