Join the 2025-2026 Academy of Clinical Educators (ACE)

New York ACEP is proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2025–2026 Academy of Clinical Educators (ACE). This unique program is designed for junior emergency medicine faculty or faculty beginning their journey in medical education, and offers a structured path to professional growth, skill-building, and connection within the academic EM community.

About the ACE Program

The Academy of Clinical Educators supports emerging educators through a carefully curated experience that includes:

  • A series of diverse lectures led by experts in emergency medicine and academic leadership
  • Six hours of exclusive, small-group time with program faculty to discuss personal goals, ask individualized questions, and receive targeted guidance
  • Focused development in key academic skills, including CV building, lecture creation, and effective mentorship

This program is ideal for EM faculty members who are interested in shaping the next generation of physicians while advancing their own careers as educators and leaders.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for the ACE program, applicants must:

  • Demonstrate a strong interest in a career in clinical education
  • Be an active member of New York ACEP
  • Be available to attend all components of the program, including:
    • Six (6) two-hour virtual sessions (starting September 2025, dates TBD)
    • A virtual orientation on July 2, 2025, from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
    • The 2026 Scientific Assembly, held July 7–9 in Bolton Landing, NY
    • Participation in an established mentorship relationship

Program Benefits

In addition to the invaluable professional development and mentorship, ACE participants will receive:

  • Complimentary registration to the 2026 Scientific Assembly, contingent upon full participation and completion of program requirements
  • A supportive community of peers and mentors dedicated to clinical education in Emergency Medicine

Please note: travel and lodging for the Scientific Assembly will be the responsibility of each ACE participant.

  • Notification of Acceptance: June 2025
  • Program Begins: July 2, 2025 (Orientation)
