Patrick Corey, MD : A 2024 Unsung Hero

Dr. Patrick Corey is an asset to our department in a number of ways. As a system physician, Dr. Corey spends a significant portion of his time at the Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic Emergency Department, where he delivers excellent care to the members of our community. It is essential to have experienced and capable physicians working in our more rural emergency departments as we are often the only provider in the department. Dr. Corey’s knowledge and skills certainly qualify him. These skills are seen every time he works, whether managing significant clinical challenges or deescalating a behavioral patient with his calm demeanor. He always delivers great care to our patients while efficiently managing a department that has experienced significant growth over the past several years.

Beyond the great patient management, he is also an excellent resource for the students who spend time with Dr. Corey, consistently rating him as one of the best preceptors to work with. The qualities that allow him to excel in our rural emergency department are exactly what make him an Unsung Hero.
