Dr. Chen currently serves as assistant program director for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Emergency Medicine Residency Program. Her interests lie in physician wellness, increasing mental health resources for physicians in training, medical education, and palliative care within the emergency department. She serves on several committees within the system, including the Wellness Committee and the Recruitment Committee. Nationally, Dr. Chen is a member of the CORD Resilience Committee as well as the ACEP Well-Being Committee.
She attended Pomona College and graduated with a B.A. in mathematical economics in 2008. Prior to attending medical school, she worked as an economic litigation consultant. She received her medical degree in 2015 from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she was a member of AOA, then went on to complete her residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Emergency Medicine Residency in 2019.
