Diane Molinari, DO: A 2024 Unsung Hero

It is with great pride that I nominate Dr. Diane Molinari as a New York ACEP Unsung Hero. Over the past 20 years she has been working at Unity Hospital’s Emergency Department. She embodies everything that all of us strive to possess as a physicians. She is one of the most carrying, compassionate doctors I have ever met. She is a very knowledgeable physician who calmly and competently manages critical patients. She is very active in the teaching of our future young physicians and has a daughter who is following in her mother’s footsteps as a physician.

Dr. Molinari has gone above and beyond during her career in Emergency Medicine. All during COVID she was my Associate Chair of the department and my right hand person not only caring for very ill patients, but also supporting all of us during the most stressful and difficult time in any of our careers. She has not only been very active in our Department as a leader in the role of Associate Chair, but also very involved in leadership roles in the hospital as Medical Dental Staff president and chair of our Credentialing Committee. She was also involved in many system committees within our Rochester Regional Health Care System.

Recipient Bio:
Dr. Molinari after graduating Cum Laude from Wellesley College with a BA in Psychobiology, went on to get her Doctor of Osteopathy from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. After finishing her residency in Emergency Medicine at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Mount Sinai Hospital she continued her work and education working in Emergency Departments in the mid-west until she settled in Rochester. Over the past 20 years I have had the privilege to work with this amazing physician, mother of four and loving wife.
