01 Nov David Reino, MD: A 2024 Unsung Hero
Dave joined us in 2023 to cap off a long career in EM serving underserved areas. His experience and calm demeanor have been invaluable as we train newer providers and nurses. There can’t be much he has not seen or done. He is a great example of how to sustain a career in EM- being well rounded, having multiple outlets for creativity, having strong supports outside of work
Dave has worked in rural areas from Australia to NY, PA, and OH. He has been described as a Renaissance man and philosopher by colleagues. He was flipping houses before popularized on HGTV. He has been a rancher, makes jewelry and leather goods and bakes! Also known to be a tea aficionado.
Friends note his eclectic taste in music and appreciate his sage advice.
We have all been able to learn from him and appreciate his wisdom and admire his grace under fire.
