One of the important values of membership is facilitating the connections you will need as you transition out of residency. Whether you stay in state after graduation or take a job across the country, you’ll take with you the skills and relationships you’ve built during your time as an New York ACEP member.

If you are a resident preparing for your career, take this opportunity to learn more about New York ACEP’s three core areas of focus—advocacy, education and physician leadership—which are just as important to medical students and residents as they are to the veterans of emergency medicine.
Advocacy
Health care delivery changes daily and our interest must be protected. New York ACEP is your advocate in Albany working to improve your work environment.
Education
New York ACEP offers free resident education right here in New York: Emergency Medicine Resident Career Day & Job Fair and the Resident Research Conference. Residents also receive a discounted rate to attend New York ACEP’s Scientific Assembly, held in July at the Sagamore Resort on Lake George.
Leadership
New York ACEP is committed to developing the future leaders of emergency medicine —because every emergency physician that learns to be an effective advocate is a potential leader and activist for advancing emergency care.
